Buying intimate items for others can be fun and exciting. Be prepared to do a little homework before you spend your money on that special someone. This special person does not necessarily have to be a spouse, it could be your mother, grandmother, girlfriend, etc., but you have to be close enough to that person to either ask what size their PJ's or Nightdress is or brave enough to do a little snooping in their Lingerie drawer.

What you need to know before you place your order:

• What styles would you like to see the other person wearing? Chemise (short negligee), Negligee (long gown), Teddy (one piece outfit that usually snaps at the crotch area), Nightgown (full, knee or floor length dress), 2pc Pajamas (pants or shorts and top), Baby Dolls (2pc panties and short dress/top).
• What styles does she like to wear? (Remember its all about her not you!)
• If you ask her what size she wears, make sure you indicate the style when asking, for example, "What size of Teddy would you wear? or If I were to buy you a Negligee, what size would I look for?"
• If you want it to be a surprise, then you have to check for the sizes on lingerie she already owns. All garments have a size and care label, however some do fade with time and some woman cut them off. So don't get discouraged if some don't have tags, just keep looking. Important - She may wear several different sizes depending on the styles, so make a note of the style (teddy, neglige, etc), the size of that style and the color. Make a list of at least three or four different styles, sizes, and colors.
• Now your ready to find and purchase that perfect gift. Remember you are buying for her, not you. So do not buy lingerie that has a fitted shape (hugs the body tightly) as only she can buy this type of lingerie for herself as you need to know her body measurements not just size. Look for styles that are similar to what she wears. Choose colors that fall in the range of colors you found. Don't stray too far from those colors, if you did not find any pink, red or greens for example, it means she does not liketo see those colors on herself, so do not buy any colors for her that you never see her in.

• Match the size she wears for that style to the size in the drop down menu under size or plus size. If she is over 5 feet 7 inches tall make sure you chose Tall in the drop down Length menu section or Petite if she is under 5' 3" tall. Regular length are for woman between 5' 3" and 5' 7".
• Choose the color.
• Still confused, play it safe and buy her a robe or housecoat, she will thank you for thinking about her comfort.
